Our 4-Step Process for Selecting Exchange Traded Funds

Risk Range™ Signals + GIP Model = A Powerful Combination

In other words, our process takes advantage of…

Financial market history: That’s our Macro team’s Growth, Inflation, Policy model showing the rates of change in growth and inflation, as well as the asset class outperformers and underperformers across our four Quadrant regimes.

Behavioral financial market reality: Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough’s Risk Range™ Signaling model uses an asset’s price, volume, and volatility to identify non-linear breakouts and breakdowns across asset classes.

Here’s a simple way to think about it: our GIP model is your map, and our Risk Range™ Signals are your compass. The map gives you, at a very high level, the path you should traverse and potential pitfalls to avoid. Meanwhile, the compass allows you to adjust your positioning in real-time as situations on the ground change. Both work together to keep you on the right path.
